Set high in the gorge among tall trees, lush green foliage, and chirping birds, this four-bedroom villa takes you back in time. Alamanda is part of a traditional woodcarving village that evokes the image of Bali in the past. Here, guests get to know the daily routines of Balinese life from elaborate Hindu ceremonies to children playing in the street.

What really makes this villa special is its design which complements its natural setting with a thatched alang-alang roof, wooden beams, and polished floors with a large open terrace to enjoy the comfortable tropical climate. The air-conditioned king bedroom with en suite marble bathroom provides the perfect respite from the heat along with a fully enclosed media room.

The gardens are spectacular, with an 11 x 8-meter infinity pool hanging over the gorge and a poolside bale made for relaxing. Frangipanis, red heliconias, and bright yellow Alamanda (after the villa is named) inject color into the rich green foliage of the surrounding forest.

The villa’s location is convenient for accessing nearby tourist attractions including Ubud, Goa Gajah (Gave of Elephants), and the UNESCO terraced rice fields of Tegallalang. The villa staff team, including experienced villa chefs, will take good care of you: all meals can be selected from the suggestions menu in the guest account. But if guests want to dine out, there are plenty of dining options in Ubud to cater to every taste and budget.
